ADAM HOLZMAN, keyboards​

He was a member of the Miles Davis Band from 1985 to 1989,

and he performed with the trumpet legend in more than

200 concerts worldwide.

He can be heard on the albums "Tutu","Live Around the World"

and "Complete Montreux" box set (Warner Bros.)

In 1988 he became Miles's musical director.

For his session and live performances,

Adam was praised by the New York Times for his

" Innovative keyboard work", and by Keyboard magazine as

"one of the most promising synth soloists".

Adam has also performed and recorded extensively

with Grover Washington jr.,Wayne Shorter,

Chaka Khan, Steps Ahead, Michel Petrucciani,

Wallace Roney and many others over the years,

and was nominated for "best electric jazz keyboard player"

several times times by Keyboard magazine.

Adam has released 6 CDs as a solo artist

and with his own band,

"Adam Holzman&Brave New World",

(wich has toured in Europe and U.S.),

and his most recent CD of hard-edged jazz-rock is titled

"Spork".

In 2007 Adam was awarded by the

Jazz Journalists Association for his work

 

co-producing (with Bob Belden) the Miles Davis boxset,

"The Cellar Door Session" (Sony).

Recently Adam has performed and recorded as part of the

"Miles from India" project. Adam has also been teaching

at the New School University in NYC since 1997.

Adam is currently playing in a progresive rock setting,

touring extensively with Steve Wilson

(the leader of the band "Porcupine Tree").

ROLAND HEINZ, guitarist/composer​

Born in Sydney/Australia

Moved to Italy and later on to Austria where he founded the

"Modern Art Trio". Afterwards he joined alto saxophon legend Pony Pointexter

for a tour in Germany.The following years Heinz was performing with musicians

from the european avantgarde scene like trombonist Radu Malfatti,

guitarist Gunter Schneider, trumpet player Franz Hautzinger and

bassist Elmar Guantes.

After touring with Barre Phillips, drummer Billy Elgart and

saxophonist Leszek Zadlo througth Europe he recorded

his highly praised first album "Heavy Mental".

He moved to New York to study and work with Attila Zoller

and John Abercrombie. Currently performing and recording in Europe and U.S.

with musicians like Russ Lossing (CD "Places"), Loren Stillman,

Scott Lee and Jeff Hirshfield (CD "Present Tales")....... .

He wrote and performed numerous compositions for jazz ensambles,

orchestra and guitar ("Travel 201"), saxophon quartet ("Foehn"),

sologuitar ("ten for one").... .

He has performed on over 270 recordings.

He has conducted clinics and master classes

with a focus on musicality and listening worldwide.
